In “Bedtime” there are many phrases repeated over and over. I did it because the repeated phrases made it easier for my son, who was a beginning reader, to read the story by himself. It is also fun to read it to a child who does not read but can join in saying those phrases that are repeated over and over.
Write a story that has phrases that repeat again and again.
The first page and the last page of “Bedtime” do not have a picture on the page. Draw a picture of something that Billy does on the first page (for that page), or a picture of Billy in bed (for the last page).
