“May I come with you?” Marcus begged, while at the same time Mary asked, “Do you want to come with me?

They burst out laughing, and Mary responded, “Well, then, come along quietly. Let’s put on our coats and go into the back yard.”

Outside the stars hung in the black sky.

“Hmmm,” said Mary, “the first thing we need is some warm water in the wading pool and then a tiny breeze.”

Mary continued working while Marcus watched.

Suddenly he said in wonder, “Mary, look! There’s fog above the wading pool!”
