“Alright,” replied Mother. “Fog is a cloud that touches the ground or, in this case, that touches the water.”

“But it doesn’t look like a cloud,” exclaimed Marcus. “Clouds are big and puffy.

“Well,” continued Mother, “not all clouds are puffy. Some clouds, like these, are wispy.”

“What makes them down near us instead of up in the sky? And why are they over the water, but not over the ground?” asked Mary.
